Being aware of what is happening behind your motorhome or camper van is essential for driving safety. However, the visibility offered by most recreational or delivery vehicles has inherent limitations. The view is often obstructed by fully closed rear-ends of the vehicle, making it impossible for the driver to see what’s happening directly behind.

Alpine has developed the perfect solution: the DME-R1200 - a digital rearview mirror with a built-in 12” Full HD monitor displaying images from a high-res HDR camera mounted on the rear of the vehicle. You are able to see traffic conditions behind your motorhome or camper van through the clear video imagery, as well as use it like an analogue rearview mirror (when tuned off) to check on passengers and pets in the rear. This highly increases driving safety and convenience.

The high-quality HDR camera and image processing system achieves rearview image clarity in the Alpine Freeview mirror with minimal glare, even during sunrise or sunset conditions, or when being followed at night by a vehicle with strong headlights.

The 8-channel PXE-C80-88 DSP amplifier features automatic sound tuning and High-Definition performance so you'll experience exceptional fidelity, clarity, balance, and impact in your music without having to spend hours fiddling with controls and testing devices.

Matrix mixing allows for summing and input/output signal management. Fully adjustable high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass filters, plus 31-band equalizers on every channel match the sound to your speakers and smooth out any hot spots or dips in the response due to your vehicle's interior. The delay feature lets you center the stereo image for your listening position. After initial setup using your PC device, all adjustments can be made automatically using the PXE-C80-88's control app on your iPhone using its built-in mic, or with your PC using a separate measurement microphone, like the Alpine KTX-CSP1. PC users can make all the sound adjustments manually to create a more personalized soundscape.

While the PXE-C80-88 can act as a stand-alone processor for use with your own aftermarket amplifiers, its built-in 8-channel amp has plenty of power to run your system. It puts out six channels of 35 Watts RMS each to speakers with 4 Ohm impedances or 70 Watts RMS each to speakers with 2 Ohm impedances — so it'll work equally well with factory and aftermarket speakers — plus two channels that can each produce 130 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms or 260 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms, to power louder mid-bass drivers and subwoofers.
